Job summary

BKV Group in Dallas is seeking an Architectural Designer I with 1–4 years of experience to contribute to Development projects such as Market-rate Multi-family, Student Living, Senior Living, and Mixed-use. You will draft scaled drawings in Revit, build 3D models, and support construction administration in a highly collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 2-4 year college program or 2-4 years related experience; 4-year design degree preferred.
• 1-4 years related experience in architectural design.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project plans (scaled drawings) using CAD software; drafting with Revit.
• Support project team during construction administration.
• Create 3D models using SketchUp or similar tools.
• Assist with presentation boards and hand-outs.
• Render elevations or perspectives using Adobe software.

Job description

BKV Group seeks an Architectural Designer I with 1-4 years’ of experience to join our team in Dallas, focusing on a range of Development project types (e.g. Market-rate Multi-family, Student Living, Senior Living and/or Mixed-use). We’re looking for someone with a proactive and positive attitude and excellent organizational skills who seeks to thrive and work effectively in a highly collaborative environment.

• Prepare project plans (scaled drawings) using computer assisted design software and equipment. Drafting using Revit.
• Support project team during construction administration.
• Create 3D computer models using Google SketchUp or similar programs.
• Assist team members with presentation boards and/or hand-outs.
• Render project elevations or perspectives using Adobe Software.
• Assist with industry research projects or studies.
• Receive direction from Senior Project Architect, Project Manager or Project Architect.

Qualifications

• Two to four year college or university program certificate or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 4-year design/architectural degree preferred, but not required.
• 1 to 4 years related experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work efficiently with team members.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the MA and SPA.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Revit, Adobe CS5 and Google SketchUp.

Compensation range: $31.25 – $36.06 per hour ($65,000 – $75,000), or commensurate with experience.
