Senior Project Architect

Description

Role Description: Huitt-Zollars has a full-time opportunity for a Senior Project Architect at our Houston Downtown office. This role involves supporting design teams through all project phases including business and client development, programming, design and construction documents, and construction administration while maintaining strong client relationships. Experience in Institutional, Commercial, and/or Public Works markets is preferred.

Location:

Houston, Texas

Reports to:

Vice President/Principal-in-Charge

Employment Type:

Full-time, 40 hours/week

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Architecture required
• Registered Licensed Architect in Texas required
• Minimum 12 years of professional experience as an Architect
• Experience in building construction technical aspects
• Experience in Institutional, Commercial, and/or Public Works markets
• Proficiency in REVIT and Adobe Suite; working knowledge of SketchUp
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to lead and coordinate consultant teams
• Ability to interact effectively with owners and user groups

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leading technical design and producing design documents
• Managing project scope, schedule, and budget
• Supervising project team members
• Ensuring compliance with codes and contract terms
• Participating in business development and client relations
• Mentoring junior staff
