Job summary

Humphreys & Partners Architects in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Project Architect to oversee design development and construction documents for complex multifamily and mixed-use projects. You will coordinate teams, ensure quality, and serve as primary liaison with clients and consultants.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of architectural experience, a licensed credential (NCARB preferred), and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Newforma.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Architect with active registration; NCARB preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of architecture experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with multifamily, high-rise, or mixed-use projects is required.

Job description

Humphreys & Partners Architects is seeking a Senior Project Architect to join our team. The Project Architect is responsible for managing the timely completion of high-quality design development and construction contract documents for increasingly complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the completion of design and construction contract documents for increasingly complex projects under the supervision of the Project Manager
  • Research applicable codes and ordinances for assigned projects
  • Collaborate with project team members to ensure contract documents are complete and accurate
  • Provide technical guidance to junior level team members
  • Lead project team coordination meetings and serve as the primary communicator with the client and consultants
  • Prepare project specifications according to industry standards
  • Manage construction administration duties, such as requests for information and submittals

Qualifications and Skills

  • Licensed Architect; NCARB certification is preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience
  • Technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office
  • Advanced understanding of concrete and/or wood-frame construction
  • Advanced understanding of building codes and ordinances, including resolution of complex code-related issues
  • Multifamily experience required
  • Familiarity with AIA contract language
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Prior experience with Newforma, or equivalent software, is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with a moderate level of supervision
  • LEED AP certification is desirable

Additional Information:

FLSA: Exempt

Location: Hybrid (Must be able to report to the Irvine, CA office weekly)

Travel: Anticipated to be less than 10%, depending on business needs.
