Humphreys & Partners Architects is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to join our team. The Senior Project Coordinator coordinates the completion of design and construction contract documents for increasingly complex projects, provides technical guidance to junior team members, and serves as a key point of communication with clients and consultants.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate the completion of design and construction contract documents for increasingly complex projects under the supervision of the Project Manager.
- Collaborate with project team members to ensure contract documents are complete and accurate.
- Provide technical guidance to junior-level team members, including assigning tasks, setting periodic reviews, and resolving questions as they arise.
- Lead project team coordination meetings and serve as the primary communicator with the client and consultants; document meeting notes, minutes, and project decisions and distribute them to the team.
- Manage construction administration duties, such as requests for information (RFIs) and submittals, using Newforma software.
- Develop and establish the technical building details for the project, including plans, sections, elevations, plan/section details, and schedules (wall/ceiling/roof types, etc.) to meet the design intent.
- Accurately prepare and coordinate project construction document details and schedules using AutoCAD or Revit software.
- Prepare and create plans that adhere to established office standards.
- Research and document project-specific applicable codes and ordinances for assigned projects, with the help of the Project Manager, presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Interface directly with consultants, contractors, team members, and architects.
- Lead a team to ensure the successful completion of a project.
- Perform a variety of architecture-related tasks and work with the Project Manager to ensure adherence to technical and client-specific standards, schedule, and value engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Newforma or Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of concrete and/or wood-frame construction.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with a moderate level of supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in architecture.
- On the path to licensure.
- Multifamily project experience.
