Job summary

Terracon in Houston, TX seeks an experienced archaeologist for leadership across fieldwork, artifact identification, laboratory analysis, and report writing on diverse projects. The role includes preparing proposals and consulting with clients and stakeholders.

The candidate should hold a graduate degree (MA/MS/PhD) in Archaeology or Anthropology with at least 5 years of related experience, and SOI qualification. A valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ related experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.
• Conduct fieldwork and write complex reports for testing and data recovery projects.
• Manage a field crew and ensure field technicians perform to high standards.
• May serve as Principal Investigator on survey, testing, and small data recovery projects.
• Conduct archival research or field documentation and ensure proper data collection.
