Job summary

Solar Works Energy in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This hands-on role reports to the Controller and will own reconciliations, journal entries, AR/AP, customer billing, and job costing, while supporting month-end close.

You will work independently to research discrepancies and produce accurate, review-ready work, helping ensure timely, accurate financial reporting for multiple entities.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Experience performing bank and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Experience supporting month-end close.
• Working knowledge of accrual accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Manage AR/AP and customer billing.
• Support month-end close and intercompany accounting.
• Assist with job costing and cost tracking.
• Research discrepancies and ensure accurate, review-ready work.
• Provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
