SSR is seeking a Senior Project Accountant in Nashville to lead complex project accounting and billing, training Operations Accountants, and partnering with Project Managers to optimize billing and the project’s financial performance.

The role focuses on process improvements, automation, and providing clear reporting to enable timely, informed decisions. Strong accounting experience in a professional services setting is required.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience using the accounting system of a professional services firm or similar organization.
• Strong proficiency with Excel and Outlook is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex project accounting and billing for projects.
• Train Operations Accountants on project accounting and billing matters.
• Develop complex billing rate schedules and review invoices with Project Managers.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to optimize billing, collections, and project financial performance.
• Support automation and process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Provide clear reports to leaders to support timely decisions.
