Job summary

SumBridge is seeking a Senior Accountant/Project Accountant for a construction-focused client in the Federal Way/Auburn area. This in-office position supports accounting, payroll, and collections, with exposure to AP/AR, GL, and subcontractor management.

The role involves hands-on responsibilities from journal entries to vendor payments, payroll allocations, and light office duties, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Construction industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly Accounts Payable check runs and ensure invoices are entered and checks issued.
• Prepare journal entries and post to GL to reconcile accounts.
• Handle month-end payroll accruals and support monthly close.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and AR billing in line with builder requirements.
• Manage subcontractor payments and certificates of insurance in coordination with the Controller.
• Support office operations in a small, in-office environment.
