Job summary

ZipApply is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant with construction industry experience to support multiple projects from the Buckhead area of Atlanta. You will monitor budgets, process billing, manage project costs, and ensure financial accuracy from kickoff through closeout.

This in-office, full-time role requires collaboration with project managers and leadership to maintain timely reporting and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of project accounting experience within construction.
• Experience with construction billing, job costing, and contract administration.
• Experience with Sage, Viewpoint, CMiC or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project accounting for multiple active construction projects.
• Process owner billings, subcontractor pay applications, and change orders.
• Track project costs, budgets, commitments, and forecasts.
• Prepare monthly project financial reports and cost analyses.
• Reconcile project accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with contract administration and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate lien waivers, certificates of insurance, and subcontract documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects remain financially on track.
• Maintain accurate records within the accounting and project management systems.
