Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in State College, PA, seeks a Harmony Square Director to oversee daily operations, lead a diverse team, and coordinate engaging resident programs. This role requires strong leadership, dementia-care experience, and collaboration with clinical and dining teams.

The Director will train staff, plan outings, and participate in monthly planning with Life Enrichment and Healthcare Directors to ensure resident well‑being and family engagement within the Harmony Square

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent educations and/or experience; subject to state requirements.
• Three to five years’ experience working with individuals with Dementia including leading programs, managing behavior expression, and educating staff and families on Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
• Special Certificates: Dementia training or Certified Dementia Practitioner preferred or eligible for certification.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience supervising and managing staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews, orientation, coaching and training of Harmony Square team members.
• Supervise and direct Harmony Square team members in conjunction with Healthcare Director.
• Develop and implement monthly resident programs based on dimensions of wellness.
• Plan weekly outings and coordinate supplies and calendars for upcoming month.
• Collaborate with program team to complete planning forms and organize events.
• Lead 3-4 high quality programs per day and ensure safety and well‑being of residents.
• Maintain relationships with residents and families to encourage participation and satisfaction.
• Coordinate care across disciplines with the clinical team and participate in care conferences.
