Job summary

USC Credit Union seeks a Programmer Analyst III to join our IT team, reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology. You will perform advanced programming and systems analysis work in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of complex software applications.

The ideal candidate will mentor junior staff, ensure secure, high-quality solutions, and contribute to projects with strong collaboration across development teams and users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field is required.
• 2–5 years of experience with Jack Henry Symitar and PowerOn.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, Python, SQL and related tooling.
• Experience with API development, integration, and databases.
• Strong problem solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, installs, documents, and maintains complex software applications.
• Interacts with users to determine objectives and requirements.
• Produces analyses and design documentation, solo or with teams.
• Translates designs into scalable, maintainable code.
• Develops test data and routines; ensures thorough testing before release.
• Detects and debugs issues; maintains code quality and security.
• Prepares developer and end-user documentation; trains users and junior staff.
• Reviews code to ensure best practices and standards adherence.
• Follows security and data integrity protocols; stays current with tech developments.
