Job summary

Covenant Health in Knoxville, TN seeks a Programmer Analyst Staff, IT to develop and implement software projects across the organization. You will serve as the single point of contact for project initiatives, ensuring applications run smoothly for users.

Qualifications

  • BS in information systems or related field or equivalent work experience with programming focus.
  • Minimum of five years of related work experience; healthcare experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding of applications systems analysis and programming; able to work under general supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Lead programming projects from concept to delivery with plans and status reports.
  • Coordinate with end users, services, and clients to guide projects.
  • Ensure quality standards and review deliverables.
  • Coordinate vendor tasks and review deliverables.
  • Prepare cost estimates for current and proposed projects.
  • Design and modify procedures to solve complex problems.
  • Prepare detailed specifications for programs.
  • Contribute to design and maintenance of databases.
  • Handle program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with management on database strategies.
  • Advise users on data access and usage.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
