Job summary

The State of Missouri seeks a program lead to manage Information and Referral for the bureau, coordinating services for older adults and caregivers across the state.

You will collaborate with Area Agencies on Aging, other state departments, and providers to improve access to services and educate partners and the public. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or four+ years of professional experience in social services with vulnerable populations.
  • Excellent customer service skills are needed.
  • Desire to work with older adults and caregivers to provide information and referrals.
  • Experience with grants and contracts including development, oversight, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Information and Referral work for the bureau to ensure Missourians access needed programs and services.
  • Oversee Older Americans Act Supportive Services funding for Information and Assistance, transportation, and related areas.
  • Provide outreach and education for partners and the public about available services.
  • Offer outreach, education, and technical assistance to contractors, monitor contract funds and required deliverables, and develop training.
  • Represent DHSS and the needs of older adults and caregivers at stakeholder meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
