The Colorado Health Foundation is accepting applications for a Senior Program Officer (SPO). The SPO will develop and implement organization-wide strategies, balancing an enterprise-wide perspective with hands-on execution to drive meaningful community impact.

The role collaborates with policy, communications, impact investing and learning and evaluation teams to leverage opportunities across initiatives, including Community Solutions, Capacity Building and Advocacy, and locally-focused work.

Job description

The Foundation is excited to announce an opening for the position of Senior Program Officer (SPO). This position is responsible for the development and implementation of the organization's strategies. It necessitates holding an enterprise-wide perspective and having the ability to both craft strategy and implement it. This position requires active community engagement and listening in order to discern between potential paths of action and choose the one that will create impact. The SPO will recommend and manage grants, and work collaboratively with the Foundation’s other departments, including policy, communications, impact investing and learning and evaluation to leverage opportunities for strategic impact. The Senior Program Officer will lead the Foundation’s Community Solutions priority, as well as be part of our locally-focused work and our Capacity Building and Advocacy priorities.
