Job summary

VertexOne is seeking a Program Manager III with a Retail Energy background to lead and coordinate multiple projects within a program, aligning with strategic goals in a dynamic SaaS environment.

You will partner with project managers, stakeholders, and executives to plan, monitor, and adjust programs, manage budgets, and drive on-time delivery.

The role requires a minimum of 6 years in the utilities retail sector, CIS/ERP experience, and PMP or PgMP is desirable; fully remote work is offered.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years in Utilities industry - specifically the retail energy sector.
• At least 3 full lifecycle CIS or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations.
• 6 years of experience in project or program management, with a proven track record in a utility tech or SaaS environment.
• Proven success managing complex projects or programs in SaaS or tech environments.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Asana, Jira).
• Certifications such as PMP or PgMP are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Program Planning: Develop comprehensive program plans with scope, goals, deliverables, resources and timelines.
• Project Coordination: Oversee multiple projects within the program and provide resources for success.
• Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders and provide regular status updates.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks and develop contingency plans.
• Budget Management: Manage budgets and optimize resource allocation.
• Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs and ensure on-time delivery.
• Process Improvement: Continuously improve program management practices.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project managers and team members.
