Job summary

Advanced Acoustic Concepts LLC, a Thales Defense & Security subsidiary, seeks a Manager I/II Program Management in Great River, NY. Lead programs from planning to execution, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance success while pursuing new business opportunities.

You will work closely with engineering to drive proposals, manage risk, and coordinate cross‑functional teams. The role requires 5+ years in program management, a related degree, and DoD knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program management work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, supply chain or business (preferred); equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Experience throughout the program lifecycle or components of development through sustainment including proposal development, requirements decomposition, system/subsystem statements of work, and subcontracts.
• Experience with manpower planning, project reviews, scheduling and budget control.
• Experience with earned value cost accounting and reporting; metrics for assessing program progress, productivity and variance.
• Knowledge of program management tools and procedures.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing and supply chain management.
• Demonstrated problem solving and strong written/verbal communication.
• Ability to manage aerospace/defense programs as a prime or subcontractor to defense entities.
• Program Management certification preferred (PMP or DAU).
• Knowledge of DoD FAR procurement regulations.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP with BOM and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct daily execution of contract requirements to meet cost, schedules, and performance goals.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of programs/projects to align with organizational objectives.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with Business Development.
• Lead or support meetings and the integrated product/project team from kickoff to close.
• Coordinate with internal/external customers and cross-functional teams on contract execution.
• Participate in bid and proposal activities and ensure RFP requirements are met.
• Prepare for and participate in contract/subcontract negotiations with government regulations in mind.
• Develop plans and schedules to execute contracts; control budgets for labor, material, travel and services.
• Mentor teams; mitigate risk throughout the program life cycle and obtain management approvals as needed.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget material execution and closeout of programs.
• Collaborate with project teams and implement engineering changes.
• Provide timely status reporting to senior management.
