Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a Senior Program Manager to lead acquisition programs delivering capabilities to the Japan Maritime Self Defense Force.

The role requires coordinating complex cross-functional production efforts and integrating tech into aircraft systems, with emphasis on Foreign Military Sales. The position reports to a senior manager and oversees planning, execution, and technical performance across program phases, including resource allocation and

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master or PhD in engineering, science or related technical field.
• Proven track record managing complex programs with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the program from initiation through delivery, ensuring quality, schedule and cost objectives.
• Develop and coordinate program plans for internal and subcontracted development programs.
• Interact with management and customer representatives on program decisions, scheduling and contractual clarifications.
• Serve as primary contact for program issues and customer communications.
• Influence proposals, budgets, statements of work and contract terms.
• Influence contract acquisitions, negotiations and modifications.
• Act as primary customer contact for Foreign Military Sales activities and lead program reviews.
• Identify program issues and develop solutions by reallocating resources or adjusting contracts.
• Oversee safeguarding of proprietary technology and compliance with laws and procedures.
