Job summary

Abbott Diabetes Care in Alameda, CA is seeking a Senior Project Leader to join the PMO, leading data sharing features and partner integrations for the FreeStyle Libre platform. You will drive complex, cross-functional programs and manage a portfolio of initiatives that expand the ecosystem with partners and vendors.

This onsite role emphasizes independent decision-making, detailed planning, and strong communication with R&D, Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end program management for features and project initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Confirm ongoing strategic rationale and value proposition for projects.
• Map, monitor, dependencies, and reporting; sequence work to prevent delays.
• Synthesize complex technical detail into a clear narrative for leadership.
• Own a portfolio of active initiatives; balance priorities and surface risks.
• Establish collaboration rhythms to keep deliverables on track and accountable.
• Ensure division-wide thinking and problem-solving in project execution.
• Drive cross-functional problem solving and integration with stakeholders.
• Monitor business processes with project owners and management.
• Serve as primary contact for internal/external partners on data sharing initiatives.
• Work independently with minimal oversight and sound judgment.
• Build and adjust detailed project plans as scope timelines evolve.
• Formulate clear asks for leadership and address challenging topics.
• Influence peers to unblock delivery and align priorities.
• Identify process gaps and implement fixes with stakeholders.
• Adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment to meet deadlines.
• Champion PMO best practices for project planning and change management.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to assess delivery performance.
