Job summary

Nexteer Automotive is seeking a Program Manager to lead cross-functional teams in the US from program charter through six months post-launch. You will own program metrics and act as the primary interface with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities include leading the BCDT, managing OI and NPV targets, maintaining CPI-based program data, and ensuring ISO/IATF compliance. Travel to supplier sites and customer meetings is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of automotive experience in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong business and financial acumen with context on timing and program health.
• Proven leadership to motivate teams and deliver results.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills with executive summaries.
• Effective external communication with customers at all levels.
• Interpersonal skills to drive program execution and collaboration.
• Risk and issue management with timely escalation.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with customers and suppliers.
• Proficient in project planning with MS Project and CPI Web.
• Knowledge of PM processes, product safety, and ISO/IATF awareness.
• I&CIM tools knowledge (3L5Y, FAST X, Six Sigma) for problem solving.
• Nexteer process knowledge and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead program as business owner balancing cost, quality, timing and performance.
• Head the BCDT, tracking OI%, NPV$, MRTS%, and on-time ER exits.
• Meet financial commitments including OpEx, CapEx and rebill with profitable SOP Launch.
• Clarify roles and responsibilities across the team and stakeholders.
• Use CPI tools (CPI Process Map, CPI Web, Design/Enterprise Reviews) effectively.
• Conduct cross-functional risk workshops after Program Charter.
• Develop timing, dependencies and assumptions to satisfy customer needs.
• Escalate issues, craft mitigation plans to protect schedule and finances.
• Maintain CPI Web program data, KPIs and SORP throughout the year.
• Drive DR/ER reviews and ensure timely exits; coordinate with customers and suppliers.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers, and plants; support APQP.
• Ensure ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 documentation is current.
