Job summary

Odys Aviation seeks a senior Program Manager to own execution across active power generation and aircraft development programs. You’ll manage cost, schedule, and scope, aligning engineering, supply chain, and test to committed dates while serving as the primary customer interface.

You’ll also support capture activity, stand up quality and program processes, and help scale the company’s capabilities in aerospace hardware and government engagements.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, or equivalent technical background paired with program management depth.
• 7+ years managing hardware development programs in aerospace, defense, energy, or industrial hardware.
• Ownership of multiple concurrent programs from award through delivery.
• Experience managing DoD-funded programs and their deliverables, reporting, and compliance.
• Familiarity with hybrid or electrified power system development and integration.
• Hardware supply chain risk management including long-lead items and supplier recovery.
• Technical fluency to collaborate with engineers, customers, and primes.
• Proficiency with scheduling and program tracking tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira).
• Clear written and verbal communication with leadership and customers.
• Bias toward action and comfort with ambiguity in fast-paced hardware environments.

Responsibilities

• Own cost, schedule, scope, and risk across multiple concurrent programs spanning internal R&D and customer-funded development.
• Build and maintain integrated master schedules linking milestones to procurement, build, and test windows.
• Serve as the primary interface to customers, primes, and government sponsors: run reviews and deliver status.
• Manage DoW program execution end to end, including CDRLs, milestones, and payment events.
• Translate statements of work into executable work breakdown structures, staffing plans, and budgets.
• Partner with supply chain on long-lead procurement, supplier selection, and BOM readiness.
• Drive cross-functional execution across propulsion, aircraft, power electronics, manufacturing, and test.
• Maintain risk and opportunity registers with mitigations and recommendations.
• Help implement and mature quality and program processes (config management, document control, change control, gates).
• Manage compliance obligations on government programs (export control, data rights, property, reporting).
• Communicate program health clearly to leadership with underlying data.
