Overview

As a key leader within the Program Management organization, the Senior Program Manager will drive high‑stakes, multi‑year initiatives focused on manufacturing equipment asset transfers, production line installations, and site consolidations. This role manages the full lifecycle of complex operational shifts—from initial business case validation and technical scoping to scaled production and start‑up—ensuring that $10M+ capital investments result in seamless manufacturing transitions across the regional network with zero impact on customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Large‑Scale Transfers: Direct the execution of multiple high‑complexity programs involving production line relocations, equipment installations, and manufacturing footprint consolidations.
  • Detailed Planning: Develop comprehensive program plans, integrated schedules, and resource allocation models for asset transfers, ensuring technical accuracy and minimal downtime.
  • Stage‑Gated Management: Execute projects through a formal stage‑gate process, moving from concept and technical feasibility to equipment start‑up and operational hand‑off.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify technical and logistical risks inherent in asset transfers (e.g., rigging delays, utility mismatches, regulatory hurdles) and develop robust mitigation plans.
  • Budget Accountability: Manage $10M+ project budgets, tracking capital and expense spending. Ensure strict adherence to PO processes and reconcile monthly with Global Finance and Plant Controllers.
  • Strategic Procurement: Collaborate with Global Procurement and Indirect Sourcing to manage NDAs, MSAs, and bid events; coordinate technical partner relations for specialized rigging, OEM installations, and maintenance warranties.
  • Operational Excellence: Apply Lean Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to optimize transferred lines; identify automation opportunities and standardize operating procedures across the network.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Serve as the subject matter expert in removing technical and cultural barriers at the plant level during equipment commissioning.
  • Metrics & KPIs: Define success metrics including Process Yield, Material Usage Variance (MUV), and Equipment Utilization/Efficiency for all newly installed assets.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Lead matrixed teams across Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure site‑readiness and infrastructure alignment; act as primary point of contact for senior leadership, providing persuasive, data‑driven updates on program status, dependencies, and critical decisions.
Qualifications
  • BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business (MS in a technical field preferred).
  • 10+ years in a complex manufacturing environment (high‑SKU) with a proven track record of leading $10M+ capital projects.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from an accredited organization (preferred).
  • Deep expertise in manufacturing process design, process flow analysis, and capital planning.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced project management software.
  • Experience in inventory planning and distribution center (DC) operations.
  • Strong soft skills: influence across multiple cultures and business units in a matrix environment; proficiency in troubleshooting and creative problem‑solving.
Performance Indicators
  • Project Momentum: Success in maintaining schedule and stakeholder alignment through complex site transitions.
  • Financial Discipline: Strict adherence to approved capital and expense budgets.
  • Operational Startup: Achievement of target Process Yield and labor/material cost savings post‑transfer.
  • Asset Performance: Successful realization of planned capacity and equipment utilization rates.
