Job summary

Jobtailor in Virginia is seeking a Senior Program and Project Management Officer to support the US Forest Service. You will lead the PMO, oversee recovery projects, and deliver dashboards and training for staff.

The role requires a PMI PMP, a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources or Business, 10 years of PM experience, and experience with ESRI GIS. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• PMI PMP certification is required for this position.

• Experience managing a team to support project objectives.

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Natural Resources or Business preferred.
• Ten years of experience in Program and Project Management.
• Experience with US Forest Service or other federal land management agencies preferred.
• Preferred experience with interpretation and implementation of policy related to Forest Service land management planning.
• Experience with disaster recovery efforts preferred.
• Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required for this position.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
• Experience managing a team to support project objectives.
• Experience with ESRI products preferred.
• Must possess a good command of the English language.
• Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
