Job summary

Optomi is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead multiple cross-functional initiatives supporting SAP S/4HANA Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain, and CPE. The role focuses on stabilization, optimization, and process improvement after a recent migration, transitioning from implementation to long-term operational excellence.

You will lead across IT and business teams, mentor project managers, and drive stronger program management practices, dashboards, and executive reporting

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent programs across SAP S/4HANA modules (Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain, CPE).
• Drive post-migration stabilization and optimization initiatives after the S/4HANA Logistics migration.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify challenges and develop actionable improvement plans.

• Manage scope, schedules, milestones, risks, issues, resources, and deliverables.
• Establish governance and operating rhythms across programs.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, eliminate bottlenecks, increase efficiency.
• Develop executive-ready status reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and program health reporting.
• Use Power BI, Excel, MS Project for tracking and reporting.
• Evaluate and implement PM tools; mentor PMs.
• Apply process mining/AI capabilities where applicable.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead multiple cross-functional initiatives supporting SAP S/4HANA Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain, and CPE. The organization recently migrated its Logistics environment from SAP to S/4HANA and is now focused on stabilization, optimization, and process improvement. With the implementation partner having completed its engagement, this role will help the organization transition from implementation to long-term operational excellence.

This is a highly visible role for a hands-on program leader who can see the big picture, manage multiple workstreams, identify process and procedural challenges, and drive initiatives through execution. The successful candidate will work across IT and business teams while also helping mentor existing project managers and introduce stronger program management practices.

The ideal candidate brings meaningful SAP S/4HANA experience, particularly within Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain, and CPE, combined with strong program management, process improvement, reporting, and stakeholder leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent programs and workstreams across SAP S/4HANA Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain, and CPE.
• Drive post-migration stabilization and optimization initiatives following the recent S/4HANA Logistics migration.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify system, process, and procedural challenges and develop actionable improvement plans.
• Lead cross-functional teams through complex initiatives involving SAP, business operations, vendors, and technology teams.
• Manage program scope, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, resources, and deliverables.
• Establish clear ownership, accountability, governance, and operating rhythms across programs.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, eliminate bottlenecks, increase efficiency, and strengthen operational procedures.
• Apply process mining and data-driven analysis to identify process performance issues and opportunities for optimization.
• Develop executive-ready status reporting, dashboards, visualizations, KPIs, and program health reporting.
• Leverage Power BI, Excel, Microsoft Project, and other tools to improve project tracking, reporting, and decision-making.
• Partner with leadership to evaluate and implement additional project and program management tools as the organization continues to mature its PM capabilities.
• Work within existing platforms including Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, etc.
• Establish the appropriate delivery methodology for each initiative, utilizing Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches based on the needs of the team and project.
• Mentor existing project managers and help strengthen program management standards, processes, and practices across the organization.
• Provide leadership and structure in an environment with multiple competing priorities and resource constraints.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve business processes, project delivery, reporting, and team productivity.
• Support the evaluation and practical application of tools such as Microsoft Copilot and other AI capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in program management, project management, technical program management, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex, cross-functional workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong experience working with SAP S/4HANA in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with one or more of the following SAP functional areas:
• Logistics
• Procurement
• Supply Chain
• CPE / Commodity Pricing Engine
• Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement, optimization, and stabilization.
• Demonstrated ability to work across business and technology teams and translate complex issues into actionable plans.
• Strong executive communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
• Experience developing program dashboards, status reports, KPIs, and executive-level visualizations.
• Experience with Excel and Microsoft Project.
• Experience working with Jira and Confluence and/or similar project management and collaboration platforms.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies and the ability to adapt the methodology to the needs of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently, drive accountability, and move initiatives forward in ambiguous environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Process Mining or other process mining/analytics platforms.
• Experience implementing or evaluating enterprise PMO/project management tools.
• Experience mentoring project or program managers.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure Cloud environments.
• Experience working within public sector or highly regulated environments.
• Experience establishing PMO governance, reporting frameworks, KPIs, RAID management, and standardized delivery practices.
