Job summary

Astrion seeks a Senior Program Manager to support the C3I and Infrastructure Division at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA. This full-time, salaried role focuses on ACAT I program management, acquisition reporting, and management briefings.

Ideal candidate is a US citizen with a Secret clearance, possessing a related Bachelor’s degree with 12 years DoD experience or 15 years with certifications, capable of leadership and strategic planning in a demanding DoD environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 12 years of DoD experience; or 15 years with proper certifications and DoD experience.

Responsibilities

• Support and develop acquisition reports and regulatory reports (DAES, MAR, etc.).
• Support program management reviews and senior level meetings and IMP/IMS reviews.
• Prepare and deliver program status briefings to senior management.
• Identify acquisition strategy issues and propose alternatives.
• Apply advanced DoD acquisition knowledge to standards, procedures and practices.
• Assist with strategic issues and work independently or in a team under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrate leadership, team building, and strategic planning.
• Manage ACAT I programs and development of new programs with the Acquisition community.
• Develop RFP documentation and support Acquisition Strategy reviews.
• Package and present briefings for senior level reviews.
• Initiate and manage high-visibility programs.
• Oversee junior and mid-level personnel within the discipline.

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Manager to support the C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI) and located at Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

• Must be a US citizen
• Must have be able to maintain a Secret level clearance
• Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD
  • OR, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight of which must be in the DoD.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include but not limited to:

• Support and develop acquisition reports, including statutory and regulatory reports (i.e. DAES, MAR, etc.). Support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews, and IMP/IMS reviews.
• Support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management.
• Identify acquisition strategy issues and propose alternative solutions.
• Support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management.
• Advanced DoD acquisition strategy and documentation knowledge to include a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, and practices.
• Assist with strategic level issues and ability to work independently as well as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities.
• Possesses proven leadership, team building, strategic planning, and organizational development skills.
• Possesses pertinent experience with an ACAT I level program, including development of new programs with the Acquisition community.
• Possesses pertinent experience in the development of RFP documentation and support of Acquisition Strategy reviews.
• Demonstrated experience in packaging and presenting briefings for senior level reviews.
• Have experience initiating and managing high visibility programs.
• Oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline.
