Job summary

Satwave AI, an Atlanta-based startup, seeks a seasoned Program Management Professional to lead development programs from initiation to close-out. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams across software, embedded, hardware, and RF engineering, manage cost, schedule, and technical performance, and serve as the primary contact for defense and government customers.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in program management, DoD contract experience, and a PMP certification.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in program or project management with engineering or hardware development experience.
• Experience managing government or defense programs, including DoD contracts and milestone reviews.
• PM certification such as the PMP is required.
• Familiarity with scheduling, risk management, and earned value management.
• Experience developing and maintaining integrated master schedules with MS Project or Primavera.
• Experience planning resources across concurrent programs.
• Ability to read technical requirements and communicate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong written and verbal communication; willingness to travel occasionally.
• Must be a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR for export-controlled work.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead development programs through full lifecycle.
• Develop project plans with tasks, milestones, budget, and resources.
• Manage cost, schedule, technical performance; report status to management and customers.
• Maintain integrated master schedules and identify critical paths.
• Coordinate staffing and resources across programs; secure personnel as needed.
• Coordinate across software, embedded, hardware, and RF engineering.
• Lead agile development teams and assess impact of changes on scope and architecture.
• Identify, track, and mitigate program risks; maintain a risk register.
• Manage program scope, requirements, and changes; control baseline.
• Serve as primary customer contact; manage expectations and communications.
• Prepare for and lead System Requirements Review, PDR, and CDR.
