Job summary

COLLINS AEROSPACE, an RTX company, seeks a Senior Earned Value Management (EVM) Cost Analyst to lead cost, schedule, and performance integrity on a major defense program in Largo, FL. The role demands technical mastery, independent judgement, and clear communication with program leadership and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include CAM reviews, monthly performance metrics, variance explanations, EV data reconciliation, and quarterly EAC presentations.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 3 years experience in related field
  • Prior program finance, cost analysis, or EVM roles supporting large defense or aerospace programs
  • U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Understanding of EVMS principles, FAR/DFARS requirements, and EIA-748 guidelines
  • Experience with generating accurate sales and financial forecasts

Responsibilities

  • Lead CAM reviews (metric, staffing, timephasing, etc)
  • Update, at least monthly, performance metrics and utilize validity checks to verify data
  • Craft clear and concise variance explanations
  • Reconcile EV data with accounting book of record
  • Change management – disposition baseline change requests and update contract log
  • Track incremental funding and advise contract manager
  • Prepare quarterly EAC presentations and annual comprehensive EAC presentations
  • Participate in earned value surveillance internally and externally
  • Determine rate change impacts and effect on gross margin
  • Travel up to 10%

This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced Earned Value Management (EVM) professional who thrives in a complex, fast-paced defense program environment. The Senior EVM Cost Analyst will serve as a key leader within the program’s business management team, responsible for ensuring cost, schedule, and performance integrity across a major cost-reimbursable, cost-redeterminable contract. This role demands technical mastery, independent judgment, and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with peers, program leadership, and external stakeholders. Your work will directly support the readiness and capability of our nation’s defense systems—making this challenging role both meaningful and deeply rewarding. This position is not for someone seeking an easy routine. Your expertise will help ensure program success, contractual compliance, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources.

What You Will Do

  • Prior experience working with DCMA & DCAA
  • Active Security Clearance and/or Ability to obtain Security Clearance
  • Experience influencing without authority and drive disciplined program execution.

Onsite: This is an onsite position supporting our Largo, FL location.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply. RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.
