Job summary

Viasat is seeking a Sr. Program Control Analyst in Carlsbad, CA, a hybrid, site-based role reporting to the Program Control Manager.

You will support planning, tracking, analysis and reporting for complex programs, build and maintain schedules in MS Project, and coordinate with PM, finance, and engineering. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, a business/finance degree, strong EVM, DoD EVMSIG knowledge, and experience with IBR and IPMR/IPMDAR.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or relevant field.
• MS Project scheduling experience in a high-tech engineering environment.
• Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Advanced Excel, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Experience with IBR and EVMS guidelines (DoD EVMSIG).
• Experience creating IPMR/IPMDAR reports for customers.
• Previously worked as Program Control Analyst, Scheduler or Finance Analyst.
• Detail-oriented with WAD/CAP/VAR documentation.
• US citizenship required; travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
• Conduct EVM tracking against the cost baseline and forecast monthly costs.
• Identify risks, bottlenecks and interdependencies and develop mitigations.
• Lead schedule reviews and report performance metrics.
• Provide ad-hoc scheduling, cost estimation and financial control support.
