Join Dakota County as a full-time administrative support role in Social Services. You will be the first point of contact for clients, providing essential support and maintaining data integrity. LOCATION: Will be primarily located at the Northern Service Center in West St. Paul; coverage at and travel to the Western Service Center in Apple Valley may be required

This position supports the Social Services front desk/reception area primarily at our Northern Service Center and may be called on to provide coverage at our Western Service Center. This role will be the first point of contact for callers, walk-in guests, and will support a variety of social services programs. This position provides a wide range of highly skilled administrative functions and completes tasks under limited supervision.This position is required to be in-office daily.

• Associates Degree in business administration, human services or related field AND One (1) year of progressively responsible administrative experience in an office environment.
OR
• High School Diploma AND Three (3) years of administrative experience in an office environment.
OR
• Current combination of education and experience to total 3 years.
• Candidate must be proficient at keyboard skills including typing at least 45 WPM.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with multi-line phone systems
• Experience with individuals with disabilities, mental illness, and/or substance use disorders
• Experience working with diverse populations and clients with limited English proficiency
• High level of skill with Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in electronic databases and records management systems
