Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active California Bar membership.
• 6–10 years of business litigation experience.
• Experience handling professional liability and/or accounting malpractice matters.
• Strong discovery, motion practice, and dispositive motion experience.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle a wide array of professional liability matters from intake to resolution.
• Manage a full litigation caseload including pleadings and motions.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, and dispositive motions in state and federal court.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy.
• Propound and respond to written discovery; take and defend depositions.
• Handle court appearances and client communications; provide status updates to clients.
• Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial; participate in trials as second chair when appropriate.

Seeking a Professional Liability Attorney to join its collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator looking to handle sophisticated matters, work directly with clients, and play a meaningful role within a dynamic and growing practice. The ideal candidate will bring strong business litigation experience and a desire to manage cases from inception through resolution while working alongside a team that values collaboration, responsiveness, and high-quality legal advocacy.

Location is flexible. The firm has offices in Downtown Los Angeles and Brentwood. Hybrid and remote work are also options.

Responsibilities

• The candidate will handle a wide array of professional liability matters, including malpractice cases and claims against attorneys, insurance agents/brokers, accountants, architects, and engineers.
• Manage a full litigation caseload from intake through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and dispositive motions in state and federal court
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy
• Propound and respond to written discovery
• Take and defend depositions
• Handle court appearances and client communications
• Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial
• Participate in trials as second chair when appropriate
• Provide regular status updates and strategic guidance to clients

Qualifications

• Business litigation experience, preferably including professional liability, legal malpractice and/or accounting malpractice experience
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active California Bar membership
• 6-10 years of business litigation experience
• Professional liability, legal malpractice, and/or accounting malpractice experience preferred
• Strong background in discovery, motion practice, sophisticated law and case management
• Experience drafting and arguing dispositive motions
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
• Superior academic credentials
• Proficiency with litigation and legal research technology
