About
As part of Specialty Program Group's Delegated Underwriting Authority unit, Catapult Insurance Solutions offers creative program insurance solutions & wholesale brokerage for niche industries & hard-to-place risks.

Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for increasing sales through prospecting new retail agent clients, growing existing retail agencies, and securing new business accounts by providing excellent customer service, product knowledge, and creative, timely problem-solving. The focus will be on the construction segment, including builder’s risk, property, and general liability/XS lines of business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Locate new sales opportunities by visiting existing and new customers and presenting our products and services.
  • Maintain and increase current profitable books of business.
  • Establish and foster client relationships, and anticipate and resolve any problems.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and follow through on all requests, written or verbal.
  • Support company growth initiatives.
  • Develop, analyze, select, and profitably price risks, emphasizing new business production.
  • Provide thorough underwriting proposals in a timely manner.
  • Achieve production and loss ratio goals within your book of business.
General

Supervisory Responsibilities

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel required.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of commercial underwriting experience, preferably with a focus on construction. Ability to work independently and build strong relationships. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Communication Skills

Effective speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension of English. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Mathematical Skills

Basic math skills, ability to calculate premiums, and apply payments/refunds accurately.

Industry Requirements

Licensing and designations are preferred but not required.

Work Environment

Characteristics are typical of the work environment; accommodations can be made for disabilities.

Work Location

Preference for candidates residing in Ohio or Texas.

Salary range: $70,000 to $130,000, influenced by skills, experience, location, and business needs.
