Job summary

AV in Simi Valley, CA is seeking a production technician to perform mechanical assembly of subassemblies and final ground control equipment. You will use hand and power tools, with some soldering, and work under close supervision to ensure high quality.

The role includes testing and troubleshooting, collaborating with engineering to improve assembly processes, maintaining a clean, safe workspace, and following work orders with accurate documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Typically requires 2 years of related experience in manufacturing or production.
• Experience with hand tools including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools and air tools.
• Good manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Primary duty is the mechanical assembly of subassemblies using small hand and/or power tools. Some soldering may be required.
• Final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles.
• Testing and troubleshooting of subassemblies and final assemblies.
• Work with other Production Technicians and Engineering to correct and improve assembly documents.
