Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems in Camden, AR is seeking a Senior Production Technician to set up and operate production equipment, following SOPs and blueprints to manufacture and assemble products. Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical Training Degree with 2-5 years' experience, or equivalent.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints/diagrams and interpret specifications.
• Experience in manufacturing and adherence to SOPs and safety policies.
• Strong problem-solving and record-keeping skills.

Essential Functions

• Sets up and operates production equipment to manufacture, process, and assemble various commercial products and substances.
• Uses product specifications, blueprints, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOP) to produce products.
• Monitors output for quality and conformance to required metrics.
• Prepares and maintains required records of production activities and reports any inconsistencies or equipment issues.
• Follows established guidelines for safe material handling and protective gear.
• Studies and records time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency.
• Establishes a standard production rate in performance of maintenance, production, clerical, and other worker operations.
• Troubleshoots issues related to manufacturing operations and industrial layout.

Required Qualifications

• Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

• Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree

• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
• This position is Safety-Sensitive.

Travel Requirements:
