Job summary

Carbon is seeking a Senior Production Systems/Test Engineer for our Santa Clara, CA office. You will lead root-cause analysis and build robust test and bring-up processes to improve the production line quality and efficiency, spanning hardware, software, and data.

You will partner with Design, Systems, Quality, and Supply Chain to implement corrective actions, develop KPI dashboards, and drive product validation testing from bring-up through to scalable end-of-line procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
• 6+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of complex electro-mechanical/optical systems.
• Structured root-cause methods such as 8D, 5-Why, or Fishbone.
• Experience building KPI dashboards and using statistics to drive improvements.
• Ability to create clear work instructions and process docs.
• Strong cross-functional communication with Design, Systems, Quality, and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Own root cause analysis and troubleshooting of complex systems.
• Serve as a technical resource on the production floor to unblock issues.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
• Develop dashboards to track KPIs and communicate insights.
• Lead Product Validation Testing (PVT) for new products.
• Translate findings into updated work instructions and SOPs.
