Job summary

Qualifications

• College degree, or equivalent work experience in related job function.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Good planning and organizational skills; ability to drive continuous improvement.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing practices and equipment.
• Ability to work with people at all levels and facilitate change within a team.

Responsibilities

• Direct production and manufacturing to meet specifications, quality standards, delivery schedules and costs, improving efficiency, economy, and safety.
• Provide a safe work environment meeting regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and advise Plant Manager on equipment and supplies needed.
• Coordinate engineering on new projects and upgrades; prepare backup data.
• Prepare monthly safety meeting discussion points and training materials.
• Prepare budget information and review for areas of responsibility for budget compliance.
• Guide supervisors to maintain labor relations, safety and teamwork within a Total Quality framework.
• Coordinate operation phases to ensure efficient workflow with maintenance, materials, safety and environmental teams.
• Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement and responsive to customer needs.
