Job summary

Empire Packing is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee all aspects of the assigned production line(s). You will take direction from Operations on scheduling, line preparation and production execution, and supervise line staff to meet daily goals.

Responsibilities include monitoring quality, ensuring safe equipment operations, training new employees, managing attendance, coordinating with QA, Maintenance and Plant Manager, and maintaining GMP, sanitation and proper labeling throughout the

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
• Considerable knowledge of production processes and work requirements.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Ability to use various databases and applications independently.
• Ability to manage the general services functional areas: purchasing, transportation processing, inventory management, and contracts and accountable property.
• Ability to establish professional working relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to make decisions and solve complex problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise all aspects of assigned production line(s).
• Responsible for production quality and safety.
• Ensure tools and supplies are available and equipment is stored properly.
• Coordinate line change-overs and notify maintenance when needed.
• Oversee line employees, train new staff, and manage attendance and Master Schedule.
• Maintain sanitation, GMP compliance, and proper labeling of finished product.
