Job summary

Birchwood Foods Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team on-site in Columbus, OH. You will ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and staffing within the department while driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced food production environment.

The role requires strong leadership, a solid background in meat processing, and familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, and regulatory standards. You will monitor performance, prepare reports, and uphold food safety throughout daily

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in food processing; meat industry preferred.
• Familiarity with USDA regulations and HACCP protocols.
• Bachelor’s degree in Meat or Agricultural Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• Proven leadership experience in a production environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized and responsible.
• Training in Lockout/Tagout, HACCP, GMP, Safety, and BRC or Global Standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet production goals.
• Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety.
• Monitor daily production efficiencies and prepare performance reports.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and food safety regulations.
• Verify HACCP documentation in accordance with the HACCP plan.
• Oversee compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Apply BRC principles and training to departmental operations.
