A leading company in diagnostic water testing seeks a Production Specialist to perform various manufacturing tasks. This role offers training opportunities and requires a high school diploma. As a Production Specialist, you will perform a variety of manufacturing tasks producing high-quality diagnostic water testing and purification products while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You will have the opportunity to cross-train in multiple work centers and gain new skills that can help you advance in your career. You will operate under 5S & Lean Manufacturing principles and ISO standards. You can make a difference by producing innovative products that keep people and animals healthy.
You will read, interpret, and follow manufacturing and quality control documents, technical procedures, and government regulations.
You will operate a variety of machines on a rotating basis, including set-up, operation, clean-up, changeover, troubleshooting, and minor repairs for manufacturing equipment in the work center.
You will work with a team.
You will use basic math skills—add, subtract, multiply, and divide—in all units of measure, using whole numbers and common fractions. Good communication skills are required.
You may provide production and process training to other employees.
While manufacturing or production experience is a plus, we are willing to train you to succeed in this role—just a desire to learn is needed.
You possess a High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
You can meet the physical requirements of working on the production floor, including standing for 2+ hours, sitting, phone and computer use, extended reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs, and occasionally climbing, kneeling, or bending. Specific vision abilities such as close, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment are required.
Typically, 3-4 years of production and/or manufacturing experience is preferred.
