Job summary

The Production Planner coordinates, schedules, and monitors manufacturing activity at BPP to ensure electrical distribution products are built and delivered on time and within budget.

The planner translates released sales orders into executable work orders, issues and maintains job travelers and related production documentation, and maintains the production data in D365 that drives day-to-day manufacturing execution across BPP's facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, operations management, or industrial engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in production planning, scheduling, materials, or manufacturing coordination.
• Working experience with an ERP/MRP system; planning and scheduling transactions and work order management.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Translate released sales orders, demand forecasts, and project schedules into specific daily and weekly manufacturing work orders.
• Issue and maintain job travelers, hold notices, stop notices, and change order notices to the production floor.
• Monitor production progress against schedule and adjust sequencing to respond to shortages, downtime, or changes.
• Communicate schedules and changes to production leadership and resolve conflicts in real time.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain to verify material availability before releasing jobs to the floor.
• Maintain accurate BOMs, routings, and planning parameters in the ERP (D365).
• Produce a weekly summary report of completed, delayed, or rescheduled work orders and deviations.
