Job summary

You will coordinate with production and suppliers to ensure timely material flow and timely ship dates, while leading daily service walk activities with department supervisors. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in materials acquisition/planning, with strong project management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or applicable technical field required.
• 3+ years' experience in materials acquisition/planning in manufacturing.
• Strong project management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with work orders, inventory control and flow manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and create production schedules for specific work centers based on demand and stock.
• Review production schedules and issue purchase orders to meet production needs.
• Lead the Service section of the daily Gemba walk and coordinate with supervisors.
• Compile reports on inventory levels, costs and issues with production and purchased parts.
• Coordinate material needs with production and outside supplier personnel to ensure material flow.
• Communicate with facility personnel and customers to coordinate processing and shipping requirements.
