Job summary

Premier PV is seeking a Manager of Production Planning to lead the development of short-, mid-, and long-term production plans for UL1741 electrical cabinets, harnesses, and fabricated components. You will ensure on-time delivery, optimal inventory, and capacity utilization by collaborating with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing.

The role requires 7+ years in production planning or manufacturing with at least 2 years in leadership; strong ERP/MRP and Lean/Six Sigma experience; APICS

Qualifications

• 7+ years in production planning or manufacturing operations; 2+ years in a managerial role.
• Experience with electrical, harness, or fabricated components preferred.
• Strong ERP/MRP knowledge and Lean/Six Sigma experience.
• APICS CPIM/ SCM certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own short-, mid-, and long-term production plans and master production schedules (MPS).
• Drive ERP/MRP parameterization, data integrity and change management for production, capacity and resource planning.
• Lead S&OP / demand-supply reconciliation and translate business plans into a robust product supply plan across the time horizon.
• Oversee BOM/route validation in ERP and identify material/lead-time gaps to create WIP-feasible schedules.
• Manage material planning and collaborate with Procurement to secure components and maintain safety stock and reorder policies.
• Allocate capacity and resources across lines; identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Own inventory strategy and KPIs to minimize stockouts and excess inventory while supporting service targets.
• Improve planning processes and drive productivity gains measured by OEE, lead time reduction, and inventory turns; lead continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
• Lead, mentor and develop the production planning team; set objectives, conduct performance reviews and succession planning.
• Coordinate cross-functionally to prioritize production, resolve issues and ensure customer requirements are met.
• Produce and present regular reporting and analytics; recommend actions.
• Ensure compliance with quality (ISO 9002), safety and company policies in planning activities.
