Job summary

The Timken Company is seeking a Production Planner in Illinois to develop and maintain detailed production plans and schedules. You will coordinate with operations and materials to meet demand, minimize inventory, and maximize capacity utilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of production planning experience in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Use Epicor ERP and SAP to release production orders and review master data for accuracy.
• Convert planned orders into production orders to satisfy demand generated by MRP.
• Align production schedule with available capacity and update plans as needed.
• Replan shortages and resolve material availability issues through collaboration with purchasing and operations.
• Lead weekly schedule attainment meetings and planning touchpoints.
• Develop and maintain tools to improve setup efficiency, product flow, and information sharing.
• Lead rapid improvement workshops to improve efficiency and meet KPIs.
