Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Production Planner (Level 2) or a Principal Production Planner (Level 3) to join our team in Magna, UT.

Production planning is integral to the value stream success and are responsible for a variety of processes, including last mile material coordination, “make” item movement and scheduling, manufacturing order maintenance and scheduling, and material consumption.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 6 years of ops/engineering support experience, or BS with 2 years.
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Government security clearance.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Create, issue, manage, and maintain manufacturing orders on the floor.
• Utilize MRP systems to ensure timely material flow.
• Coordinate with planning, QC to ensure inventory availability.
• Ensure materials for orders are delivered to use points and consumed in MRP.
• Advise on WIP status, material availability, and issues to ensure resources are available.
• Schedule and expedite material movements via move orders and transfers.
• Collaborate with departments to improve processes and efficiency.
• Assist in MRP system change implementations.
