Job summary

CesiumAstro in the United States is seeking a Senior Production Planner to support manufacturing by developing production plans, coordinating schedules, and aligning capacity, materials, and demand. You will work cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, engineering, and finance to optimize planning and reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, and supply chain planning principles.
• In-depth understanding of capacity planning, work center loading, and priority management.
• Experience with BOMs, routings, lead times, and MRP/ERP data.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of production plans to support schedules and commitments.
• Evaluate demand, capacity, inventory, and priorities to optimize production schedules.
• Identify constraints, assess risks, and propose solutions to improve schedule stability.
• Maintain planning data and parameters within ERP systems.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and metrics to support decisions.
• Analyze performance and trends to improve efficiency and adherence.
• Present schedule analyses and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate across supply chain, operations, manufacturing, engineering, quality, program management, and finance.
• Communicate schedule changes, constraints, and recovery plans to stakeholders.
• Coordinate planning activities across schedules, materials, resources, and commitments.
• Drive improvement initiatives in planning processes and manufacturing performance.
