Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Principal (Level 3) Production Planner and Scheduler to support the Guns manufacturing site within the Armament Systems business unit. This role plans and coordinates production schedules, ensuring material availability and on-time delivery.

You will work with quality, manufacturing, purchasing and engineering teams, apply Costpoint/MRP concepts, and contribute to process improvements while leveraging ERP tools and MS Office in a fast-paced defense

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience or Master’s with 3+ years; alternative combinations accepted.
• Experience in Costpoint and MES is a plus.
• Experience in MS Office applications and planning in ERP systems (MRP).
• Must work independently with minimal supervision and be able to coordinate with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates material requirements.
• Advises management on status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.
• Schedules equipment and personnel, prepares work orders for production or purchase of components based on master production schedule.
• Coordinates inter-departmental activity with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, and shipping.
