Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in related field.
• 3+ years of production planning/related experience; or 8+ years with no degree; equivalent combination.
• APICS certification in production and inventory management preferred.
• Strong understanding of MRP tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production orders based on priorities and availability of materials and capacity.
• Compute material requirements to complete job orders and assemble work order packets.
• Draw up master schedules to meet shipping dates and coordinate with manufacturing floor.
• Monitor production orders, verify progress, and correct discrepancies to keep schedules.
• Coordinate material delivery with inventory to support manufacturing schedule.
• Maintain inventory records and track progress of manufacturing orders.
• Provide training and guidance to ensure adherence to procedures and safety standards.
• Analyze information from engineering change forms and communicate requirements to manufacturing.
