Job summary

Sauder Woodworking Co. in Archbold, Ohio, seeks a Senior Production Planner to develop and manage production plans that balance demand, inventory, capacity, and priorities.

This role uses MRP, analytics, and AI-enabled tools to identify risks and improve execution. You will collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, sales, IT, and maintenance to optimize planning parameters, maintain master data, and communicate KPI results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in production planning, scheduling, or related roles.
• Experience in discrete manufacturing with capacity and material dependencies.
• Experience with AI tools, automation, or advanced analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans that support demand, service levels, inventory targets, and capacity.
• Review MRP outputs and schedules to identify risks in material, capacity, and lead times.
• Recommend safety stock, reorder points, and lot size parameters based on demand and capacity.
• Use reporting and AI-enabled tools to summarize exceptions and support decision making.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, procurement, sales/demand planning, order fulfillment, and IT.
