Charter Casting Woodstock, IL is seeking a Senior Production Planner to optimize manufacturing by developing daily production schedules that balance demand, inventory, and capacity. You will partner with commercial, logistics, and operations to resolve scheduling challenges and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires seven+ years in supply chain or operations, strong leadership, and the ability to mentor Production Planner I and II.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Seven plus years’ related Supply Chain or Operations experience.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to train Production Planner I and II.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and monitor production schedules aligning customer service with delivery needs.
• Collaborate with commercial, logistics, and operations to solve scheduling challenges.
• Produce and communicate capacity reports for planning by managers.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels for billet, coil, and cut-to-length requirements.
• Identify and communicate supply constraints and resolutions.
• Coordinate daily with schedulers and commercial on delivery issues.
