Job summary

Alcon in Houston is seeking an Operator III, Production Management to perform advanced packaging and production tasks in support of the Custom Pak department. You will set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring safety, quality, and GMP adherence, while maintaining documentation and inventory workflows.

The role emphasizes leadership, training of team members and temporary workers, collaboration across functions, and continuous improvement through Lean principles.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or regulated environments (pharma/medical device/GMP).
• Experience operating and troubleshooting automated production equipment.
• Knowledge of Lean, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma principles.
• Prior leadership or line lead experience in a production environment.
• Familiarity with GxP, SOPs, and quality systems like TrackWise or Veeva.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced production tasks including assembly, processing, forming, or packaging to specs.
• Set up and operate packaging equipment to optimize quality and efficiency; restock materials.
• Follow SOPs and GMP requirements; document work and inspect products.
• Identify non-conformances and participate in corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Lead or support team meetings; train and mentor temporary workers.
