Job summary

Alcon is seeking a capable Operator III for Production Management in Houston, TX, to support the Custom Pak department. The role involves setting up and running advanced packaging operations, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining safety and quality standards on a 2nd shift.

You will lead or support line activities, participate in continuous improvement, and collaborate across functions to achieve SQPDC targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
• Location: Onsite in Houston, TX; 2nd shift hours specified.
• Travel: 0–5% travel.
• Sponsorship and relocation not available.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced production tasks including assembly, material processing, forming, or packaging to meet specifications and quality standards.
• Execute a variety of production operations (repetitive and non-repetitive) including assembly, bonding, plastic joining, wrapping, packaging, and basic product testing.
• Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust packaging equipment to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Restock packaging materials and maintain continuous equipment operation.
• Follow SOPs and ensure compliance with GxP and proper documentation.
• Identify and report non-conformances and support resolution of production issues.
• Participate in Lean initiatives and track SQPDC targets.
• Lead or support team meetings and collaborate across functions for improvements.
• Maintain safety and PPE usage; mentor temporary workers on the line.
