Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal Production Operations Manager for Sunnyvale, CA. The role leads project teams in the professional services arena and oversees manufacturing scope for a multimillion-dollar naval propulsion program.

You will coordinate cross-functional activities, manage risk, and drive execution to meet cost and schedule targets, while guiding the manufacturing team to resolve issues quickly and maintain program health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Program and/or Project Management.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct project teams in the professional services arena.
• Prepare project execution plans and coordinate activities between client and company personnel.
• Monitor project completion from initiation through delivery to meet revenue and cost projections.
• Oversee performance of projects or engagements and typically utilizes management skills more than technical skills.
• Provide technical and analytical guidance to project teams.
• Working as an Operations Program Lead and with manufacturing operations functional management, you will be part of the team responsible for execution of the manufacturing scope of a multimillion-dollar naval propulsion and power generation program.
